General specification for electrically insulating shoes

This standard is in accordance with the National Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau in 1996 to revise the National Standard Plan, issued by the State Economic and Trade Commission Safety Production Bureau, the National Labor Protection Products Standardization Technical Committee in April 1999 on GB12011-1989 "Insulating Leather Shoes", "GB12015-1989" low-voltage insulation rubber shoes"and GB12016-1989"Insulating shoes (boots) The task of revising the three standards is drafted.

In the drafting process of this standard, reference was made to ISO/DIS 8782:1994 "Safety Protection Shoes Requirements and Test Methods", "ANSIZ41.4-1982" Shoes against Electrical Injury"and FOCT 13385-1984"Technical Specification for Electrical Insulation Working Shoes with Polymer Materials".

The revised standard consists of 8 chapters, 2 appendices and 1 appendixes. There are great changes in layout and technical content. Especially in its electrical performance requirements, from the original leakage current of 0.5 mA/kV to 0.3 mA/kV (insulated leather shoes and insulated fabric shoes) and 0.4 mA (insulated rubber boots), the maximum leakage current must not exceed 10 mA. This increases the probability of security from 50% to 99.5%. As for the electrical performance test method, the wet test in GBl2061-1989 was abolished, the dry test was retained, and the test method of soaking 1% NaCl solution (standard appendix B) was added, which was consistent with the American standard ANSI Z41.4-1983.

This standard will replace GBl2011 - 1989, GBl2015 - 1989 and GB/T12016 - 1989 from the date of implementation. Any industrial standard which does not conform to this standard and is lower than the requirements of this standard shall be repealed by itself.
